A Large early 20th Century Alabaster Marble lamp base

An early 20th Century Alabaster Marble lamp base of columnar form, with a carved column, stepped base and an Acanthus finial.  48cm high approx. The marble is attractively veined in places.

Rewired in a cloth covered twisted flex, with brass fittings, and PAT safety tested the bottom of the base covered by a baize fabric, silk shade and bulb is not included.

This elegant lamp is Classic and Classy.  One and a half Kilogram of carved Alabaster it is aesthetic and tactile.

In very good condition, no major defects at all, although Alabaster is a soft marble and so there are understandable small abrasions and chips mainly around the edges of the base and the finial.
