All of our items are handpicked to fulfil this obligation, and we are always keen to hear your comments and wishes.

A word about our philosophy

We want you to be entirely pleased and satisfied with you choice. To this end we ensure all of our items go through a process to ensure they are safe, complete, clean, useable, and ready for display.

Our team of restorers are chosen for their skill, experience and expertise, whether it is Art, Lighting, Furniture, or other precious objects, they are subject to the same inspection and careful process.

Our philosophy is to let an object show it’s age, so while we want your purchase to be clean presentable and usable, we want to emphasise our ‘light touch’ restoration process. Where possible we want to present an object retaining the maximum originality were we can, original finish, paint, lustre. We do not restore to as new, or near new. We do not polish using abrasives, acids or any materials we believe will destroy the age and patina of the object in question.

Careful and Sympathetic Restoration

We don’t believe that you the customer wants to buy a factory fresh looking item. Where objects need repair, our restorers repair as near to original as possible, and use period correct materials.

Some of our restoration is by it’s nature invisible. There are times also when a repair simply means the object is presentable and useable, and while it is expertly done, neat and strong it may well be an obvious repair that retains age, charm and beauty.
