Thank you so much for shopping with us here at Marquis Antiques. We hope you find items to delight, and hope you love them every bit as much as we do. While we will always do our very best to meet your expectations, but as you would expect, It must be understood that due to the “used” “second hand” or “pre-loved” nature of our goods, all goods are sold in an “As Found” condition. While we try to photograph all aspects of any item, we have to point out that every blemish, scratch or repair may not be captured for every piece. We trust you will take this into account when purchasing.
We try to include as much information on the history and provenance of an object as possible and include this in all our descriptions, we do this as we understand as experienced collectors the benefit of this information being passed on with the item when it is so often lost. We try to make descriptions as accurate as possible based on our knowledge, research or information available, however, any reference to age, dates and material is mere speculation only, although often through research, background knowledge and the experience of similar objects sold previously and information given is only provided as a guide. It is solely a buyers responsibility to assure themselves of any information given before purchase.
All lighting products are usually re-wired to UK standards and PAT tested unless otherwise stated, this is usually mentioned in the description. They are usually despatched with a UK plug fitted, but without bulb or shade, unless these are integral to the item.
We will be pleased to provide any information in answer to questions about an item, and you can contact us at enquiries@marquis-antiques.co.uk quoting the item SKU number and description and we will endeavour to satisfy any query.

We do want to reassure you in your purchase decision, and you will find practical descriptions with each item, often pointing out instances of condition where we feel it is appropriate to do so.
